23 October 2009

TransdevTSL - Shorelink Buses received a Highly Commended award in the NSW Medium Business division at the Customer Service Institute of Australia’s (CSIA) national awards held last night for the TransdevTSL - Shorelink Buses service in Sydney’s North Shore region.

Also at the awards, fifty per cent owner of TransdevTSL, Transfield Services, won the Queensland and the National Small Business awards as part of their alliance with Brisbane’s Airtrain for public transport service, the Brisbane Airport Rail Link.

It is the third time the alliance has won the category since 2005.

Transfield Services’ CEO Australia and New Zealand, Mr Bruce James, said today: “Transfield Services and our specialist public transport joint venture, TransdevTSL, work cooperatively with governments and the communities y to provide safe, reliable and efficient public transport services.”

“At TransdevTSL - Shorelink Buses, we continually engage with the community through marketing campaigns and education programs to raise awareness of the service to new residents and to tell the community about new routes or special events.”

“With Airtrain, customer engagement is paramount as many users are tourists and require assistance with ticketing and travel information. Airtrain has introduced initiatives such as free travel for children, free WiFi for the domestic station and an emissions calculator on the Airtrain website.”

The awards are judged on a range of business criteria, including company philosophy, management and leadership, innovation and improvement, responsiveness and customer satisfaction.

NSW Minister for Transport, the Honourable David Campbell MP, received Customer Focused Politician of the Year at the same awards.
