Veolia Transdev is pleased to announce the purchase of Caringbah Bus Service from existing owners, the Wood family.  Veolia Transdev will take over routes and school services from Saturday 1 October 2011.

Caringbah Bus Service has been operated by the Wood family since the early 1940s, originating  with services in  the Royal National Park based at Loftus and then moving on to regular route service around the Caringbah area. Today Caringbah Bus Service operates 2 routes, has a fleet of 9 buses and 9 staff, all of which will continue with Veolia Transdev. 

Veolia Transdev has strong experience and knowledge of the local Sutherland area, operating 19 routes in this area with another 42 routes across Sydney’s South West.

Veolia Transdev has 7 depots, 450 buses and over 790 staff in the South and South West areas of Sydney.

Morris Caputi, Managing Director of Veolia Transdev in NSW, said, “We are excited to be bringing the Caringbah Bus Service team into the Veolia Transdev group and will continue to deliver the excellent service provided by the Caringbah Bus Service. We will ensure the transition is smooth for both the employees and customers. The Wood family will continue to manage and operate the coach charter side of their business ‘Tiger Tours Management Pty Ltd’.
